Products

SPI's product line includes high-quality solar modules that are manufactured in the USA; our standard 60-cell polycrystalline module design provides the greatest efficiency ratings for each dollar invested in solar technology versus other designs & materials.

Superior power ratings tolerances of -0 watts to +5 watts provide more power per renewable energy dollar invested and improves the integrity of the overall solar array. SPI solar modules are comprised of heavy duty bright aluminum frames, 3.2mm glass (hailstone impact rated), and modern EVA encapsulation to accommodate government, industrial, and commercial installations.

SPI's solar modules are ARRA-compliant, comprised with high domestic content. Because our modules are manufactured in the USA, we qualify for the maximum (85%) EXIM Bank financing. We can offer long term project financing (up to 18 years) for our international customers through EXIM Bank direct loans or loan guarantees. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you to supply solar panels or solar systems that fit your needs.

Silicon Bricks & Ignots

English Specs:

Prime Bricks

Prime Ingots

Solar Power Industries use Directional Solidification System DSS furnaces to cast silicon feedback stock into usable silicon ingots. High purity polysilicon makes up the primary feedstock.

Once processed and cast, SPI cuts the ignots into bricks, which are subsequently sliced into the thin silicon wafers necessary for the construction of cells.

Solar cell processing operations need either silicon ignots or wafers as raw materials, depending upon the operation's initial manufacturing requirements.

SPI uses the ingots they produce in their own solar cell manufacturing and makes the additional wafers available as a high quality building block for other solar cell operations.

SPI works with its customers to tailor custom made ingots.

Silicon Wafers

SPI Silicon wafers are precision cut utilizing the latest state of the art wafering saws. Our wafers are then thoroughly cleaned in an automated system to ensure maximum cleanliness.

All of the finished silicon wafers are then individually inspected to ensure proper thickness, squareness, resistivity, TTV, and an absense of saw marks and cosmetic stains resulting in a high quality wafer for solar cell production.

Solar Cells

In addition to being used in combination to construct solar modules, photovoltaic solar cells also generate the energy necessary for numerous products and devices including powered toys, portable fans, and residential lighting for decks and yards. By employing photovoltaic technologies, these products become self-sufficient with regards to their energy needs, freeing them from the limitations of electrical wiring and the hassles of battery power.

Using a state-of-the-art automated cell processing line, Solar Power Industries can produce photovoltaic solar cells up to 156mm by 156mm. Made from multicrystalline silicon wafer substrates, typically 220 microns thick, they come in both two-bus and three-bus configurations.

SPI produces a line of standard sized solar modules designed and certified for use in both grid connected and off grid applications. Series connected 156mm square polycrystalline silicon solar cells comprise each solar module to ensure that every module delivers the advertised power rating with tolerances as good as +/- 5%. "Plug-n-Play" leads on the junction boxes simplify the installation process, and SPI designs all of its solar modules for exceptional durability in even the most rugged situations. Module features include:

    - Standard 60-cell polycrystalline design that provides the greatest efficiency ratings for each dollar invested in solar technology versus other designs & materials

    - Superior power rating tolerances (-0 watts to +5 watts) to provide more power per renewable dollar invested

    - Polycrystalline chemistry of SPI solar panels are non-toxic compared to some other products currently on the market

    - Heavy duty, anodized aluminum panel frames

    - EVA encapsulation to ensure a long design life

    - High capacity junction boxes and diodes

A photovoltaic solar power system consists of all the necessary pieces to convert sunlight into usable solar power. This typically includes a series of modules, an inverter, mounting hardware and any switchgear needed to connect the solar power system to the desired electrical system.

Solar power systems have numerous applications. Anyone looking for a clean, reliable, and cost effective way to meet their energy need can make use of them. For example, universities, museums, and shopping malls have begun turning to photovoltaic systems for their energy needs. Their use is also becoming increasingly common in commercial and residential situations. Photovoltaic solar power systems are particularly practical for providing power to devices that are far from most grids such as highway call boxes and lighted signs.

Custom Solar Modules

Solar Power Industries possesses the unique ability to create custom solar modules and products to suit the needs of individual users. This allows development teams to incorporate solar power into their projects tailored to architectural designs, electrical requirements, or atypical size constraints. Custom Solar Module Projects Include:

-Specific colorization of the solar modules to match the particular building style of a region.
-Custom sized solar modules used as partial shading on irregularly shaped skylights.
-Alternative solar cell backings that permit attachment to unusual building surfaces.

Other potential custom solar panel products could include specific energy or dimensional requirements. Of course SPI is willing to consider any requests you may have regarding custom made solar power products. If you want to take advantage of the benefits of photovoltaic power in your next project, SPI will work with you to design an individually tailored solution to your solar energy needs.
